Learning

through hands-on experiences

We encourage self-directed play – this gives children the opportunity to hone decision-making and planning skills, and vastly increases their attention spans.

what people are saying

  • THIS SCHOOL IS A PRECIOUS GEM AMONGST THE MULTITUDE OF PRESCHOOLS ON THE WESTSIDE.

From the moment you walk through the gates, you are transported to a magical world of art, music, dance and endless creativity. Each festival in the multicultural curriculum is a culmination of purposeful, breathtakingly beautiful art projects, authentic songs and meaningful stories. The children are treated with such tenderness, love and positivity, setting them on a path of strong social emotional development and self-expression. It has been simply amazing for me to watch my girls thrive in this environment and we feel so blessed to have been a part of this exceptional community.

    — Madhuri Inamdar

  • SINCE COMING TO THIS MAGICAL PLACE, OUR SON HAS THRIVED IN WAYS THAT WERE UNIMAGINABLE TO US.

We fell in love with the library at Little Dolphins—hundreds of volumes of original fairy tales, folk tales, and children’s books, acquired with evident discernment and respected like trusted elders. These books, we came to learn, are at the core of the Little Dolphins curriculum, informing the art projects, classroom discussions, and school-wide theatrical performances, and speaking directly to the integrity and vision of the school and its phenomenal teachers and founders.

    — Dana Goodyear and Billy Lehman

  • THE GIFTED TEACHERS & STAFF ARE TRANSFORMING YOUNG LIVES FOR A LIFETIME OF LEARNING & GROWTH.

There is magic happening everyday at Little Dolphins. The magic begins from the time the children pass through the gates – their little bodies seemingly always in motion, running, jumping, climbing, filling the schoolyard with energy and laughter. Having attended a number of the programs whose rich themes celebrate a diversity of cultures and customs, we’ve been witnesses to our grandchildren's ever-growing sense of wonder and expanding love of learning. We are so grateful for the magic and joy we've get to share with our grandchildren, Kalen and Barrett. Thank you, Little Dolphins Preschool!

    — Bachan and Poppa, Little Dolphins Grandparents.
